Streaming Video Checklist

BEFORE FILMING:

Plug cart & network cable into wall.

Turn on surge protector & APC BackUPS.

Turn on computer, TV, & VCR (set TIME & DATE on VCR if needed).

Insert videocassette into VCR and cue tape to the end of the last class.

Mount camera on tripod, plug battery pack into wall, connect A/V cable to camera & splitter & turn camera on to MOVIE.

Change camera display (if needed).

Change VCR input to LINE (press the INPUT button on VCR remote control).

Check microphone batteries, & turn on microphone transmitters and receiver (Check microphone volume).

Open RealProducer; change TITLE, DESCRIPTION, & KEYWORDS on video file.

Increase volume on RealProducer volume control (OPTIONSà AUDIO CAPTURE SETTINGSà VOLUME CONTROL) & run microphone check.

Hit RECORD on VCR & START in RealProducer.

Hold copyright sign in front of camera and begin filming.

AFTER FILMING:

Hold copyright sign in front of camera and hit STOP on both VCR & in RealProducer.

Encode video clip & rewind videotape to beginning of class.

Dismantle camera setup.

Turn off microphone transmitters & receivers.

FTP class video clip to server.

Shutdown computer, unplug cart & network cable from wall, & turn off surge protector & APC BackUPS.
