Faculty Video Test Clip 3
“I recently was involved in a trial run of the streaming video approach to on-line instruction in my SOCSC 310: Statistics class. All in all, it was very similar to performing a normal class presentation, with the exception that I was wearing a lapel microphone and had to remain a little more stationary than usual (which was no major problem). Stacey Sawa videotaped my lecture which was subsequently transferred to a web site. There was no extra work involved for me as the instructor. When I went to the web site using one of the campus computers, it appeared as though it were videotaped with almost the same degree of clarity of detail. In short, it was a positive experience and struck me as a low-pain method of going on-line. My recommendation would be that instructors should develop PowerPoint slides that can be used in conjunction with their lecture. This would improve the overall presentation.”
