You will need a UH West O'ahu ID card to borrow books and to use our online databases. Get your card from Student Services. Continuing students need to have their ID cards updated by Student Services each semester. Off campus and Neighbor Island students should request a card by filling in the online application, by e-mail from uhwolib@hawaii.edu, by phone (808-455-0497), or by letter. Your West O'ahu card may be used at all UH libraries. For security reasons, we will not provide library card numbers over the phone or by e-mail.You are responsible for library items checked out with your card. If you lose your card or it is stolen, tell us as soon as possible.
Community Borrower Cards are available to Hawai'i residents not affiliated with the University of Hawai'i. Click here to see who is eligible for a card as well as services and fees. If you need more complete library services, contact the University of Hawai'i at Manoa Libraries External Services Program. Their services are offered on a pay as you go cost recovery basis.

To renew a book, click here. After you log in, click on My Account to start the renewal process. An item has been successfully renewed only if a new due date appears next to the title when the screen is reloaded.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR LIBRARY ITEMS CHECKED OUT WITH YOUR CARD. IF YOU LOSE YOUR CARD OR IT IS STOLEN, TELL US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.THERE IS NO "GRACE" PERIOD ON OVERDUE MATERIAL. BOOKS RETURNED LATE OR BOOKS THAT ARE LOST ARE SUBJECT TO FINES, A PROCESSING FEE, AND/OR A REPLACEMENT CHARGE.
- Overdue books: 25 cents per day, maximum of $10 per item; 50 cents per item per day if item has been recalled.
- Overdue AV/Media: $1.00 per day, maximum of $10 per item.
- Lost books and AV/Media: $60 per item or replacement cost or exact replacement item and late fines and processing fee.

Note: Accumulated fines of $10 or more will block patrons from borrowing any additional library material. Library financial obligations must be paid before you register, graduate, or get a transcript. The Library participates in the State of Hawai'i Tax Setoff Program where unpaid financial obligations may be collected from your state income tax refund.

If you cannot find a book, article, or video in either the UHWO or LCC libraries, you can use Intrasystem Library Loans to get the item from another UH library. Delivery time is approximately 1 week. There is no charge for book loans. If you need videos or periodical articles, there may be a charge (generally $3) payable when you pick up the item. Some items may only be available through a document delivery service. You will be responsible for the full cost of those in advance. ISL is only available to UH West O'ahu students, faculty, and staff.

- The William S. Richardson School of Law Library, University of Hawai'i at Manoa welcomes University of Hawai'i-West O'ahu students to use its collections and services. UHWO students are welcome to use:
- The Law Library's 300,000 volume print and microform collection. However, books and other items are loaned only to Law School students and faculty.
- Its photocopiers and microform readers/reader-printers (fees posted).
- Three public access terminals that provide links to selected legal resources (e.g., Hein-On-Line and Legal Trac). Please note that users must supply their own paper for the printer.
- Reference librarian service.
- Use of marked visitor's carrels.
